What Does WAIGA Mean?
WAIGA stands for “What Am I Good At?”
It is the most important question every student, graduate and professional should answer before making a career decision
What Is the WAIGA Framework?
WAIGA — What Am I Good At?
— is not a quiz. It is a structured career assessment framework developed over five years (2006-2011) by a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists and industry professionals — each with over 30 years of real-world expertise.
Most career assessments measure one dimension. Some measure two. WAIGA measures all three — independently and rigorously:
INTERESTS — across 7 distinct types
PERSONALITY — across 16 types
APTITUDE — across 4 independent dimensions
All three are combined into a single unified WAIGA score — used to rank careers from most to least compatible with your complete profile.
What Is the WAIGA Test?
The WAIGA Test is the assessment instrument of the WAIGA framework. It measures your Personality, Interests and Aptitude in a single 20-30 minute session — and combines all three into a single unified WAIGA score.
That score is used to rank every career in the WAIGA database from most to least compatible with your complete profile — producing two specific, actionable lists:
✔ Your Top 10 best-fit careers — ranked by WAIGA score
✔ Your Bottom 10 careers to avoid — unique to WAIGA
No other career assessment provides both.
No other framework combines all three dimensions into one score.
And no other assessment delivers this instantly — without a counsellor.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE WAIGA TEST
The WAIGA Test is useful for:
✔ Students choosing streams or careers
✔ Graduates deciding career paths
✔ Working professionals considering a change
✔ Individuals seeking better career clarity
It is useful at any stage of life, whether you are starting your career or re-evaluating it
WAIGA begins by understanding whether you’re a student exploring future options or a professional considering career growth or transition. This allows the assessment to provide contextually relevant questions while evaluating the same three core dimensions—Personality, Interests, and Aptitude.
“Before you begin — you are asked whether you are a student or a professional. The assessment adapts accordingly, ensuring questions are relevant to your specific life stage.”
What Does WAIGA Measure?
WAIGA measures three dimensions of career fit — each independently and rigorously — producing a more precise and complete picture than any single-dimension or two-dimension assessment.
✔ INTERESTS — 7 Distinct Types
WAIGA measures vocational interests across 7 distinct types — a more granular categorisation than most established frameworks. This precision matters: interests that look similar on the surface lead to meaningfully different careers. WAIGA captures these distinctions accurately
✔ PERSONALITY — 16 Types
WAIGA measures personality across 16 distinct types — comparable in depth to the most established personality frameworks in vocational psychology. Measured independently from interests, because how you work and what you want to work on are two genuinely different questions
✔ APTITUDE — 4 Independent Dimensions
“WAIGA measures aptitude across four independent dimensions: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning — each measured independently, producing a precise picture of where your cognitive strengths lie.”
Unlike other career tests that focus on only one or two dimensions, WAIGA combines all three into a single unified WAIGA score — used to rank careers from most to least compatible with your complete profile.
WHY THIS APPROACH MATTERS
Choosing a career based on only one factor can lead to mismatches.
For example:
- You may love a field (interest) but struggle in its work environment
- You may have the ability (aptitude) but feel disengaged day to day
- Your personality may clash with the demands of the role
The WAIGA framework reduces this gap by analysing
all three dimensions together
helping identify careers that offer the best overall compatibility

Depending on the WAIGA Test you choose, your report includes:

✔ Careers that don’t suit your profile — so you know what to avoid
